All about some journals

I think I have been going on a smashbook/junk journal binge. I was in a Junk Journal swap on the Cricut mb and here is an awesome junk journal a fellow mb member, OneCraftyCat sent me. So adorable. I just want it to sit on my table and look pretty, it's too cute to ruin and write in it and scribble notes and even let my kids touch it. lol.

And I completely forget to take photos of the one I sent my partner.
But here are photos of the one I made as a quick journal for myself to take to work. I added cute little photos of my kids:

I used Echo Park's For the Record collection and some Doodlebug nifty notions stickers and Tim Holtz tattered florals die and Hero Arts sew stamps.

Fall is here!

Another swap for a fellow Cricut member.
This was a all homemade swap and I created 5 things for her. I picked "Fall" as her theme and made some super cute stuff.

here is all of her goodies!

I made her a mini tp album, mini notebook, a crocheted squirrel (that jingles too!), 3 felted flowers, and a chunky charm.

Well I hope she likes it. She'll be getting it soon!

Bottlecap swap!

So I am in a bottle cap swap and I am addicted now. Michael's clearanced out their bottlecaps and so I had to buy it all out. They have silver, black, pink and teal. And from what I have found in stores and online, they are the only ones that have them completely covered in color. There's etsy stores that have colored ones but they say they are silver on the inside. Plus these have holes already, major plus for me because I'm scared to put a big bite to them.

I decided to do 2 groups: designer's choice and graphic 45.

Here is my designer's choice. I decided to do cameo of ladies and a butterfly from Teresa Collins Posh. I didn't think these girls were "vintage" enough but they have a great girly paris nostaglia to them.
And my 2nd group was Graphic 45 and I decided to use their newest collection, ABC Primer. I bugged my local scrapbook store for this collection. Turns out they aren't going to carry the paper pads so I was left to buying individual papers.

My first decision was to use le' romantique but decided to just do one bottle cap. Hence the A is for apples, B is for butterfly and C is for cat. I also made them more personal so each card has their own initial at the bottom. I made felt flowers with these using Tim Holtz tattered florals sizzix die.

If you have any questions on how I made these, don't hesitate to ask!
Hello again!
I know this blog is taking awhile and I don't go on that much but please bare with me, I'm trying to get use to using the internet and really having the free time to work on my crafts and go online. But I have been crafting like a mad woman, finished this album in a day. My daughter Alex started school this past Tuesday and she was super excited and of course, I was excited too but also happy sad that she's growing up so fast. We let her ride the bus in the morning and crazy paparrazzi parents we are, followed the bus and watched her get out. She was so stoked to see us waiting for her, she's like "what are you guys doing here?". And she was even more excited to find it there's another day of school and another and another. I'm waiting for it to get old, lol.

So here is the mini gatefold album I created for her. I used Simple Stories line, Elementary, graphic 45's ABC Primer and a little bit of Reminisce simple math paper. And of course, cardstock from Recollections. The binding is a 1 inch white wire using using Bind It All machine. The tags were created using Cricut's Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. I may have altered the sizing because I used my gypsy for them. The other cuts were actually given to me by a another Cricut member, noradickey (thank you so much!!) and they were from the Recess lite and Hello Kitty greetings. The black words I welded using the gypsy and the font was from Zoo Day. This cartridge is growing on me, I love how childlike the font is and when you weld them together, it's pretty adorable. The chipboard was actually given to me from another cricut mb and I think it's from a company called Punky Sprouts but I could be wrong.
Some of the products I used was Tim Holtz crackle paint in Fired Brick, TH game spinner, TH notebook embossing folder, TH distress ink pads in walnut stain and vintage photo, echo park letter stickers and Recollections and Sandlion Owl stickers, random buttons, EK success binding edge punch, baker's twine. I am sure I am forgetting some things but if you have any questions, feel free to ask me!

The only pictures I got to put in it was her doctor's appt to get her physical and shots for kindergarten. Oh man, she kinda knew they were coming but I called it "vaccines".

Alex's 5th birthday Monster High Doll Party!

Hello again! I have been busy working and keeping busy with the little ones. I really need to get my scrapbook/craft table organized. As much as you try to get it organized, it's just never enough. I am always rearranging things. My little one, who is 11 months old, loves to mess with my Cricut boxes. And I love that he always finds the Elmo one and the Spongebob one. Lol, it's so cute, he's such a boy.
Anywho! My daughter's 5th birthday was earlier this month and I'm excited and so sad that she is growing up. I can't remember her being so little so I just see her just sprouting up like a tree and I really do cherish my moments with her. She is going to go to kindergarten this fall so I am really excited about that too. Which speaking of excitement will definitely match with the new Graphic 45's ABC Primer collection. I can't wait for that to come out, I have been thinking of making her mini album for her going to her new school and so this will be perfect!
So back to her birthday, she had a Monster High birthday party and if you know these dolls, there is not much out there right now. Not too many people know about them but Party City carries their party supplies online but they are always sold out. I bought mine on Ebay. lol. So I made her invitations:

I just found the skullette online and cut it out and I used the word "Party" from Happy Hauntings cart. I used pink sheer ribbon with glittered polka dot bought at Michael's and the card front base paper and cardstock was also from Michael's.

I used my xron sticker maker machine for these. I found the images on etsy.com and bough a 1 inch punch at Michael's Arts and Crafts store and punched them out. Super easy! I think people use these mostly for bottlecap jewelry so I decided to try it out too. I made these necklaces for her birthday. They are DraculaLaura and Frankie Stein.

She goes through her favorites so I will eventually make all the girls.
I made little notebooks to add to the girls goodie bags and I made it using the Cricut cartridge alphalicious for the matchbook and used Rock Princess for the bear and crossbones:

I also made her a banner which stupid of me I didn't take a picture of it but I used Birthday Bash, edited the size with my G and used the font on Baby Steps. I'll eventually post a photo of it.
I was gonna make some matching cupcakes but didn't have much time so I went with a great frosting recipe by Kraftfoods.com and the kids got to decorate their own cupcakes. It was a terrible mess but I didn't have to clean it up, hehehe.

A mini for a fellow MB

I finally got my own computer set up just for me! Yay! It's on my lovely craft table in my little corner of the computer room which is starting to take over the other corner which I think, will eventually take up one side of the wall too. I need a place for my sewing stuff. Hehehe.
To get my blog started, which by the way, was way overdue. Last time I wrote was last year, ugh, and what did I make? Good god, a lot has changed. With my second child being born back in September, I had to pause a bit with my crafty hands but I am back in the game because it's honestly hard to not do something with my hands. If I can't scrapbook, I crochet! If I'm tired of doing that, I make gifts either by making some jewerly or sewing something cute. A lot of my crafts is either work related, messageboard related or a gift for someone dear to me.
So I am gonna show you the mini, I should say not-so-mini gatefold album that I made for a fellow Cricut messageboard member! She really liked the vintage, shabby chic style of the Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden collection and that collection says it all! It was a great chance to really showcase some pretty things that don't always need to be clean cut and polished. I especially love the florals and the realistic bugs here and there and that green crackle paint, uh, everything from those papers were so pretty, you can seriously not waste or throw anything away because every little scrap could've been used.
So here is what I used to the best of my memory:
All the chipboard was by Zutter, the back & front was 8x8 and the inside pages were 5.5x7.5. I loved it because the inner pages were just abit smaller giving a little peek to the size of the back. I also used 1 1/2 size white wires by Zutter. The tools/embellishments I used were various things: a stampin up butterfly stamp, Webster's Pages bloom trims, Tim Holtz adage tickets, crackle paints, ink pads, birdcage, Recollections, new Sew Easy vine head. The flowers and branches were by Recollections, Prima, and some were handmade by me. The Cricut carts that I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and more, Everyday Pop Up Cards, French Manor, and Elegant Edges. I actually don't own French Manor-that was a cut given to me by another Mb member so I thank you for that cut! So here are the photos and I hope you enjoy!

Still trying to figure this blog out so bare with me.
